Here's how I came to this conclusion.
The Federal Reserve cut interest rates a bit earlier in the month. Now, if you know nothing about economics, you would say that the actions taken by the Federal Reserve to slash the fund rate by 50 basis points is good. However, I believe the Federal Reserve has actually taken a position of favoring the growth of the Dow Jones, an index representative only of 30 public equity stocks, over real economic growth. I don't even know that Woodrow Wilson himself thought anything like this could happen to such an inherently flawed system.
Now, the reason the Federal Reserve decided to cut interest rates is debatable. We know for sure that the subprime lending meltdown played a role in the cut. We know, too, that the sudden decline in jobs — simply indicating that the economy has reached full employment — played a role in the cut.
Now, bring to mind the fact that the Reserve had to inject larger-than-normal liquidity into the system back in August, and you have the makings of a full-scale recession that is looming, if it hasn't already started. We are still in a bear market, and we shall remain in a bear market until the Dow Jones reaches the 14,000 level once again. Not to say that will happen...I think we will be lucky to get there, and lucky to remain stable once we reach it.
What I believe, though, is that jobs will continue to decline, because, again, we have reached full employment, thanks in part to the rise in the minimum wage, the credit crunch will become a full-scale global fiscal crisis, and inflation will rise because of the fall in the funds rate.
And your Dow Jones, in all its glory, will be glorious no more. I foresee that we will fall to the lows back during the last correction (12,517.94), and then we shall proceed to the lows during the smaller-scale correction before it (11,939.61). I don't know that we would fall any more than that, but if we do, it's all because of the same reasons I have just given you.
My predictions for the major indices as we enter this recession:
Dow Jones: 11670-11940
Russell 2000: 730-735
Nasdaq: 2330-2360
S&P 500: 1255-1280
Dow Jones Wilshire: 12750-12990
Hopefully we do not have a large correction like this, but I will tell you I don't analyze emotionally, but logically.

Update...
I had to miss hosting the first episode of vent on Friday due to circumstances beyond my control, but, of course, you expect no less from me. LOL. Lots of stuff has been happening since the last time I was actually hosting the show, including a slam on Gen. Petraeus.

Creative? Not saying it weren't, because it most certainly was. I'll give you that much. I have to draw the line at calling a military general in your own country a traitor. You want to call Petraeus the traitor. Yeah, so Nancy Pelosi's journey to the Middle East wasn't treason. I guess supporting Hugo Chávez over our President wasn't treason. And, oh yeah, of COURSE it's not treason to say that you want Bush dead.

Bill O'Reilly misconstrued my words...
Oh my God. LOL.
Last night I got airtime on his show. Somehow, the message, which I intended to be a compliment, had been truncated.
If you watched it last night, you heard, "Mr. O'Reilly, we both know you have spin. Learn to embrace it." My original message was, "Mr. O'Reilly, we both know that you have spin. Learn to embrace your inner spin. And trust me, you won't look like a fool doing it." Somewhere, somehow, the message got chopped up and made more negative.
My true intent was not to insult the man, but to elevate him. We know he has spin. All I want is for him to show the world he has it. It's spin — the good kind.

Imus is wrong?
Al Sharpton and his crack team of racist police are at it again...with a fellow liberal, Don Imus. It just so turns out that everything is fucked up in America. You can be black and racist. In fact, I'm sure that if Jesse Jackson (there is nothing reverend about him, and yes, that's an adjective) made the same remarks, nothing would happen. Nothing. But God forbid a white person make the same remark, which I might add, comes from RAP MUSIC — largely made and listened to by BLACK PEOPLE (except me...I don't listen to rap though I am black). Oh, no. You simply can't do THAT in America. You might be ostracized for life. Usually white people say something in passing as observation, and if it just so happens to be about black people at ALL — whether insulting (which is wrong, but it's also wrong the other way around) or positive (remember the "articulate" comment about Obama?)
It's just another example of the double standard of liberals in America. (By the way, I can't think of any black conservatives who have gotten so mad.)

Why cool sucks
Who said being cool is good? What the fuck is cool, anyway? Who dictates what's cool? What are cool points?
To me, people are wasting precious time concerned with being cool and popular. Really. It's okay if someone doesn't like your clothes or thinks your hairstyle is bad. Someone probably thinks the same about that bitch. Honestly, do you really think it will matter when you're 25? (And do you really think that bitch will no longer be a bitch at 25? I don't think so. She'll probably get knocked up...because sex is cool...and she'll have three kids and drain our resources because she won't keep her legs closed because she will be a welfare whore.)
Let me explain to you why cool sucks. Like liberalism, "cool" wants to strip away your individuality and turn you into a Versace, Louis Vuitton, iPod-wearing drone. It wants to make you...robotic, politically correct, and drive you insane.
Looking at all groups, it is important to be cool in all save one. If you are a pseudo-ghetto wannabe, you have to listen to rap and talk like an idiot to be considered to be of any use. If you are a goth, you can't EVER listen to Underoath. If you are a prep (liberal prep), you DARE NOT EVER SHOP at Wal-Mart, the beacon of capitalism. If you are emo, you can't ever smile. See? Everything constricts you. You can't be independent. Once you join a group, you are forever a slave to popularity and coolness.
You fucking idiot.
Being yourself, though, gives you the flexibility of controlling whatever you may want to do, being whoever you may want to be, and living by whichever means you may desire. They want you to believe that cool is ultimate good. They are control freaks who want to stifle you. Why bother?

I started listening to rap, speaking Ebonics, and being a badass. I was going against everything my mother ever taught me to be "cool." You know what was worse, though? I didn't become cool, I didn't have respect...I only became uncomfortable in my own skin. I rebelled, though...and I became my own person. Whether or not people liked me for it...that was their problem...but I did earn something more tangible and more binding and unchanging...a little honor and a little respect.
Learn it now before it's too late to rebel.

The Truth about Global Warming
Humans are likely causing "some" of the global warming problem...that is, IF there truly BE a problem. (Before English lost the subjunctive, we said BE, not IS...just a note.) As for myself, however, it doesn't seem to be so bad. Al Gore, in all his majesty, has said that the Earth will burn because we are polluting the Earth with carbon dioxide. I think this is total bullshit. Why? Well, let's explain why.
Animals have always exhaled carbon dioxide. Always. That carbon dioxide, along with sunlight, goes into plants and comes out as oxygen. That cycle continues on and on and on. Now, car producers created the catalytic converter. It converts carbon monoxide, the REAL harmful stuff, into carbon dioxide. Sure, it's not as clean as making graphite and pure oxygen, but it's better than CO. Plants will take in that CO2 and convert it into oxygen. With the fact that there are now thrice as many trees as in 1920, there might be a little excess carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, but not that much. That excess is our fault. Remember, though, that the majority of that "harmful" stuff is absorbed by plants.
Al Gore, with all due and deserved respect, what have you gotten yourself into? There is no way in hell that carbon dioxide is really going to end the world. Honestly. It's been around longer than Liza Minelli. How do you explain the warming on Mars that has coincided with the warming on Earth? How do you explain that many glaciers are reforming? How do you explain the SNOW THAT I SAW IN APRIL? Come on. Respectfully, you have force-fed America and the world, minus the Czech Republic, lies. I don't think any city, with the exception of New Orleans (because it's below sea level and sinking anyway), is in any major danger. New York City might lose a little land, but Seattle is very resilient, mainly because it's so hilly. It's okay.
I really appreciate the efforts of liberals to improve the world. Don't let your bullshit ruin it. That's all I'm saying. That is the truth about global warming.

I'm sick of...
Hi. I'm Allyn, and I am 17. I am a black guy. I hate rap, I am not ignorant, I don't sag my pants, I am a devout Christian, I am not violent (unless you make me very mad...that's a technicality), I am a conservative, and I hate the NAACP.
Had I never said "black guy," would you have noticed? Had I never said my age, would you really give a damn? Chances are good that you would never have considered it; it would have never crossed your mind. Why? Teenagers are stupid, insensitive, over-emotional, over-jealous, inconsiderate assholes. Black people are ignorant, thuggish, womanizing bastards — at least that is what you probably think. Let me set out to prove you idiots wrong, post by post.
Let's begin with assimilation — why we (black people) need to stop focusing so much on furthering our race and why we need to give to EVERYONE and not just black people. It's elitist. It's un-Christian. It's...RACIST.
Black people need to stop being so over-focused on black people. I'm so tired of this. These same people would complain to no end about white people being over-focused on white people. They would call it...racism. So why is it not racist that blacks only care about blacks? Oh, wait, I get it..."we must be proud to be black." I call BULLSHIT. When Polish, Russian, and Irish immigrants came over, they were mistreated. Why? Because they didn't assimilate for damn near half a century. When they did, though, everything got better and they became "white." Obviously, we can't become "white" (unless you're Michael Jack-off-to-little-ki...I mean Jackson) but we can become "American." There are not two Americas; there never have been and there likely won't ever be. Here are three solutions that would stop this completely.
1. Stop acting as if white-originated racism is still strong. It's not. Stop bitching about something that pretty much doesn't happen anymore. Yes, there are a few; even then, most likely they will give you some degree of respect. I would argue, like I stated above, that black people are the true racists here. We have other things to focus on...but you'll see in future posts what I mean.
2. Slavery should not need an apology—it's long gone. Since when have black people been slaves? Not for a long, long time. Following my logic...why do we need apologies for slavery? There is no good, logical reason that has any sustenance. Not since 1865 have white people held slaves...legally (there are always a few outliers). The failed Plessy vs. Ferguson (1895) and the well-faring Brown vs. Board of Education (mid-1950s) should have been apology enough. However, both of these implicitly state that whites are sorry. Did you think about that? Or how about the cotton gin? I believe that before 1901 slavery wouldn't have even been necessary anymore, whites probably would have let slaves go, and they would have been compensated, and racism probably wouldn't exist.
3. Affirmative action is bullshit—get rid of it. If America is a merit-based society, why do we need to fill quotas? If you want a job, learn to do what you're doing, then apply. If only white applicants are qualified, I suggest the employer hire only whites. If only black applicants are qualified, I suggest the employer hire only blacks. It's unnecessarily and discriminatory to whites. I'm sorry, but I don't think we should be discriminatory to anyone.
I, just as most conservatives and libertarians, want this to be a merit-based society, blind from race and gender in terms of merits. I know, from being a liberal once, that one would make that assumption. I am sorry if this has offended you, but it's the truth...at least in my eyes...and I look forward to spirited debate on my posts.
